Making an animated bed allotment 2

I made this bed back in the summer of 2009, but forgot about the videos. I wanted my son to have a elevated bed so he could play underneath it. I also wanted it to be built to last and be able to convert it to a bunk bed if needed later on. The cheapest thing I found was Ikea which would cost me 0. I made this one which is much better quality than Ikea for just over 0.

The Benefits of Wood Platform Beds

!9# The Benefits of Wood Platform Beds

Wood platform beds are beds that have no box spring and are made out of wood. Platform beds are great for complementing any décor, but are especially well suited for rooms that are going for a simple feel. When these beds are made out of wood, the effect is that much more grounding. The proliferation of feng shui ideals have made platform beds a high-demand item among those going for a "Japanese" or "Zen-like" energy in their home. The low physical profile of wood platform beds go very well with other low-set furniture such as low coffee tables, dressers, and other bedroom furnishings.

Wood platform beds can be made out of any kind of wood. The most popular are cherry, teak, rosewood, mahogany, maple, dark walnut, pecan, honey oak and others. Any wood platform bed frame can be made of a lesser wood, or even particleboard, and then overlain with the veneer of a higher quality wood. That way, you can get whatever feel you are going for, without spending the necessary thousands of dollars for the real thing.

However, if you're the one who just can't seem to forget that the veneer is just a mask for a lesser wood, you'll have to shell out for the real thing.

Wood platform beds take on a wide variety of sizes and forms. You can obtain any size bed from a single or twin, double or full, to a queen, king, super king, or California king. These beds can simply be flat surfaces or sets of slats on legs, or they can be full-on beds with headboard, footboard, and canopy. They can have simple, clean lines, or they can boast more of a flourish and sweep.

Went to the hostel that was recommened to us by the owner of the place in Usuhia. It was calledLos Dos Pinos and what a kip! We basically got a garden shed with bunk beds. There was no heating, no sheets on the bed, no toilet paper in the toilets, so we basically droppe dour bags adn took off to find a pub to celebrate what was left of hte night. Ended up in the only Irish bar,The Grouse, and what a joke! I think we were the only Irish people there. There was a DJ spinning the decks..the typical 80s trash. They were serving green pints of Warsteiner and had serious problems pulling pints. At one stage they were pulling pint after pint of foam! We gave up after about an hour in search of food....and managed to find a fancy joint that was still serving at 1.30 am so we ordered their cheapest bottle of wine and the cheapest things we could find on the menu! Next day we got all geared up for the big match Ireland v England. We had one English guy in our company so he was slightly outnumbered. Had to put up with teh ESPN spanish commentary again...which could only barely be heard over the brutal music they were playing in the hostel. We ...
